“But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
I heard a minister a long time ago make a statement, he would always say, ”Keep the main thing the main thing.”
There are many distractions in life. We live in fast paced culture, that is very busy. I have found in life that we can be busy but not productive. We can be busy with all the wrong things – the cares of this life and the distractions that come with them.
In the above scripture, Jesus is telling us what the main thing is. He said, put His Kingdom first and His way of doing things and everything we will ever need will be added and provided to us.
There was a time in my life when I was distracted and pursuing a career instead of the calling that God had on my life. I was in a Church service listening to a sermon on the Kingdom of God, and I was faced with the truth of God’s Word. I thought to myself, “Am I really putting the Kingdom of God first place in my life?”
In that moment, I renewed my commitment to God and made His Kingdom first. That commitment changed the trajectory of my entire life and put me back on track to fulfilling the Divine destiny that God has for me.
My challenge to you is this: Put the Kingdom of God first in your life.
Make that decision today, and keep the main thing the main thing. Kingdom first!
